Apart from
immigration control, one of the primary role of Johor Bahru Immigration
Office is accept and process of passport application. The office also
issues other travel documents, such as
Restricted Travel Document
and
Collective Travel Document.
The objective of
Johor Bahru
Immigration Office is to manage
immigration affairs in accordance with national interests and always
committed in providing excellent immigration services to fulfill the needs
of the clients.
Malaysia Passport is a
valid travel document issued by the Malaysian Government for the purpose of
traveling abroad. Validity of Malaysia Passport is five (5) years or two (2)
years from the date of issued. Renewal of Malaysia Passport for the new
passport that has a validity of 6 months or less, the new one will have 5 or
2 years validity plus maximum 6 months remaining validity in the old
passport.

The fees for
the Malaysia Passport differ according to the pages of the Passport. The
price from RM100.00 for 48 pages (Valid for 2 years) to RM600 for 64 pages
(Valid for 5 years). Children below 12 years old and student below 21 years
old with proof to study abroad on the day submission entitled to half price
from normal price.

The form required to fill up
when apply Malaysia Passport is Form A - IM.42 - Pin 1/1997. The form can be
obtained from any Malaysia Immigration Office or downloaded from Malaysia
Immigration Department website (Should be printed both side on white A4 size
paper). Other documents required are Identification Card (Original and
photocopy), Birth Certificate (original and photocopy), photocopies must in
A4 size paper and
2 recent color
photographs (35mm x 50mm).
With effective from 3 Jan 2011, the
selected immigration
offices will working on Saturday and Sunday from 8.00am to 1.00pm. The

Reminder
Malaysian
