Malaysia Passport is a valid travel document issued by the Malaysian Government for the purpose of traveling abroad. Malaysia Passport is the property of The Government of Malaysia and it may be withdrawn at any time if the Immigration Department is satisfied that the passport is used contravene against the Passport Act 1966. The holder is fully responsible for the security of the Passport.

Validity of Malaysia Passport is five (5) years from the date of issued. Renewal of Malaysia Passport for the new passport that has a validity of 6 months or less, the new one will have 5 years validity plus maximum 6 months remaining validity in the old passport.

Apart from immigration control, one of the primary role of Kampar Immigration Office is accept and process of passport application. The office  also issues other travel documents, such as Restricted Travel Document and Border Pass Malaysia - Thailand.

The form required to fill up when apply Malaysia Passport is Form A - IM.42 - Pin 1/1997. The form can be obtained from any Malaysia Immigration Office or downloaded from Malaysia Immigration Department website (Should be printed both side on white A4 size paper). Other documents required are Identification Card (Original and photocopy), Birth Certificate (original and photocopy), photocopies must in A4 size paper.

With effective from 3 Jan 2011, the selected immigration offices will working on Saturday and Sunday from 8.00am to 1.00pm. The services provided only limited to Malaysia International Passport application and processing only. More information, check here.
