Embassy of The Union of Myanmar

Malaysian passport holders are required a visa to visit Myanmar. Documents you need for a tourist visa application:

1. The application form which can be obtained at the counter;
2. Two passport sized photos (white background);
3. Original passport with 6 months of validity or more;
4. One photocopy of passport and travel itinerary in A4 paper;
5. Photocopy of your travel ticket (return) in A4 paper.

Visa Fees (CASH only):

Normal : RM80 (5 working days)
Express: RM150 (2 working days)

The validity to use the visa is three months.


Children traveling with parents need a copy of their birth certificate. All applicants need to present as the thumb print needed.

Application acceptable only in the mornings. The working days are counted inclusive of the day of application.

The visa-clock starts ticking when you enter Myanmar. You get 28 days. You have to enter Myanmar within 3 months of getting the visa, otherwise it expires.

Providing information from our country to the local community.
